Weighted Moore-Penrose invertible and weighted EP Banach algebra elements

The weighted Moore-Penrose inverse will be introduced and studied in thecontext of Banach algebras. In addition, weighted EP Banach algebra elements will be characterized. The Banach space operator case will be also considered.
